Hoy en d\u00eda en Taiw\u00e1n, Jap\u00f3n, Korea, Vietnam y Malasia, los vendedores siguen usando jin para el peso, aunque el tipo de cambio es diferente en cada pa\u00eds. En Taiw\u00e1n, China y Korea, 1 jin equivale a 0.6 kg, o 600 g.<\/p>\n

When you buy food in the markets, the vendor would say yi jin ## qian, how is it calculated? What\u00b4s the difference with kilogram?<\/p>\n

Jin is a traditional weight measurement in east Asia, and was first used in ancient China. Nowadays in Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Vietnam and Malaysia, the food vendors still use jin for weight measurement, but the conversion rate might be different in each country. In Taiwan and China, 1 jin equals o.6 kg, or 600 g.<\/p>\n

Next time when you go to a traditional market to buy food, listen carefully. What the vendor says is 1 jin $100 or 1 kg $100!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
